My Story
The Physiotherapist-
I trained at The University of Ulster and qualified with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy in 1986 !! After qualifying I moved to England where I gained huge experience working in many different fields within Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in the NHS.
In 1995 I opened a Private Physiotherapy Clinic in Kingston with a colleague, Nicola Burrows. I worked at our busy practice until 2022 when I was able to return to my family's B&B in Fermanagh to live.
I have now opened a Physiotherapy Clinic at our B&B.
I have been doing Physiotherapy for a long time and have experience of treating many different injuries and surgeries. I have treated Sports people, Celebrities and people just like you.
I enjoy learning and developing and have done much post graduate training, including training in the use of Acupuncture and am a member of the AACP . I have done extensive post graduate training in the use of Manipulation and the management of musculoskeletal injuries and am a member of the MACP
I have worked in Occupational Health at BP, and have experience in Work Station assessments.
I am passionate about Physiotherapy.
I offer a hands on approach to your treatment using research based approaches.
The Pilates Teacher-
In 2003 I qualified to teach Pilates following a rigorous training with Body Control Pilates. I later also trained with them to teach the Pilates Reformer to advanced level; The Cadilliac; and The Pilates Chair as well as all of the smaller equipment including small balls, the Physio Ball and Magic Circle. I have used all of this as part of Pilates for well being; rehab Pilates and Pilates for Bone Health.
I have taught Pilates classes and private sessions for many years and with my Physiotherapy background have used it regularly to assist with rehabilitation from injury.
The Yoga Teacher
I became fascinated with Yoga during Covid. I wanted to know more and trained to teach the Anusara style of Hatha Yoga and qualified to teach in 2020. I have done additional training in Restorative Yoga and Mindfulness meditation. I currently teach a Yoga class and 1-1 Yoga sessions.
Me-
I am a Mum to two Young adults; a Wife to a very patient man; and now an owner of a B&B.
I enjoy going for walks in nature with my dog, Kayaking and Golf and of course Pilates and Yoga.
I aim to assist you, and to also empower you, to be your best.
